Section 2.3 Evaluation Level

Since evaluation in higher education can take place at various levels (e.g., module, stage, or programme), the level at which feedback is collected is dependent upon the purpose of the evaluation (Brennan and Williams, 2004).


While much of the literature relates to module evaluation the background theory and range of methods for obtaining data are equally applicable at each level, though the emphasis of each will differ due to the type of issues to be addressed at each.
